Norwegian government will not appeal the ecom ruling from Borgarting Court of Appeal
Telio has today been informed that the Ministry of Communication and Transportation has decided not to appeal the verdict of the Borgarting Court of Appeal in the ecom case between Telio Telecom AS and Telio SA on one hand, and the Ministry of Transportation and Communication on the other.
Telio issued a writ against the Ministry of Communication and Transportation on October 16, 2007 and on February 3, 2009 the Oslo District Court ruled in favor of Telio, that the resolution of the Norwegian Post and Telecommunications Authority that Telio SA is liable for ecom fee was repealed as invalid. The Ministry of Communication and Transportation appealed the verdict, and on December 10, 2009 the Borgarting Court of Appeal again ruled in favor of Telio, thus dismissing the appeal from the Ministry of Transportation and Communication.
With today’s decision, the ruling from the Borgarting Court of Appeal becomes final and enforceable.
